1955
Elena Figurina was born in Ventspils (Latvia)
1976 She started painting
1978 She had her first exhibition
1979 She graduated from the St.-Petersburg Institute of
Aircraft Construction.
She was a member of a non-official group of independent artists, called
Association of Experimental Art (TEII), where she regularly took part
in exhibitions. Also she took part in more then 150 exhibitions in
Russia and abroad. Her paintings can be found in private collections in
the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Finland, Switzerland, France, the
Netherlands, Australia, Poland and Russia. A book about her art
appeared in the “Mir” publishing house.
She lives and works in Saint-Petersburg
